Hi everyone! I'm surrounded by 80.000.000 Germans, most of which believe firmly in the theory of evolution, as that's the info they've been conditioned with since they were children. Now, I'm working on translating the book by James Perloff (or at least parts of it), but that's gonna take me a year by the rate I'm going. I'm no big scholar,
I'm a musician, happen to speak 3 languages, but maybe some of you more educated people out there could link me up with anyone or anything to help me? I was miraculously saved from a destiny of having to die unaware of the fact that behind such perfection had to be a Creator. Would you like to help me to do the same for others? I'd be extremely grateful! Looking forward to some more miracles, Dave
(Edited 11-09 - hopefully into such a state as to not arouse any further offense)

How open is your government to Christianity?
Maybe there are grant moneys that you can access to get some books translated for you...
there should be some american ministries willing to put the moneys up.. but as of yet I do not know any..
God will provide.
Jesus bless you brother, and I am very happy to see your desire to share your testimony with your brethren there.
One book I would suggest that would be in German, though not being a scientific book is filled with the miraculous power of the Holy Spirit, is a book by David Wilkerson 'The Cross and the Switchblade'
I will edit this list now and again if I find more sites that may help in your mission.

I've attended a talk here in Australia by a German Christian who runs a creation museum somewhere in Germany. I've forgotten his name. His museum shows fossils and their modern counterparts (for extant species) side-by-side. You could track him down from the AIG website or by emailing AIG. I bet he would know of some German material.

Hey, thanks! AIG doesn't ring a bell though. What's that stand for?
Australian Institute Of Geo-Scientists? That's about the closest related indication I got from Google...
"Tranquility Base" as in "Boat On The River" by Styx?
Anyway, thanks again...

Thanks, I sent them a mail... as far as openness towards Christianity from th gvt: I'd be VERY surprised. Some states are less anti-christ than others, but as a whole... ouch! If you look at the educational system & the media... Anyway, thanks for your swift reply & assistance! God bless! Dave

Hi everyone! I'm surrounded by 150.000.000 Germans who don't by the slightest stretch of their imagination would even consider that the World did not "happen" by evolution, as that's the info they've been brainwashed with since they were babies.
-------------------------------
150.000.000 Germans? Where are the extra 68 million Germans hiding?
Considering the lack of separation of church and state, the only brainwashing would be from the myths propagated by the various christian churches.
-------------------------------------
Now, I'm working on translating the book by James Perloff (or at least parts of it), but that's gonna take me a year by the rate I'm going. I'm no big scholar,
I'm a musician, happen to speak 3 languages, but maybe some of you geniuses out there could link me up with anyone or anything to help me? I was miraculously saved from a destiny of having to die stupid.
--------------------------
To bad you were not miraculously saved from having to live stupid.
-------------------------------
Would you like to help me to do the same for others? I'd be extremely grateful! Looking forward to some more miracles, Dave
(Thought on "miracles": all of creation is one miracle after another.)
------------------------------
Thought on miracles, a musician claiming not to be a scholar claims that scientists are stupid..LOL!

Well, sorry 'bout the maths... told U I was no great scholar... But at least I don't claim to be one & still suck at my spelling, nor do I feel as "mammothly" superior as to feel the dire need to put my fellowhuman's down. I haven't heard any myths from churches but I did find the Gospel, & I dare say that it's got more to offer in it's simplicity than he zillions of words of vain babblings, trying to confuse, mislead, discourage & put down others.

nor do I feel as "mammothly" superior as to feel the dire need to put my fellowhuman's down.
-----------------------------------
Glad to see you don't feel the dire neeed to put your fellow human's down
"At least I won't live & die like you, an Arschloch"
I wonder what you would have written had you felt the dire need?
-------------------------------
So, you're Charlie's big defender on this block are ya?
-----------------
Charlie ? Charlie's Angels maybe but never Charlie.
----------------------
Well, you & Ur ilk had me fooled all the way up till the age of 12.
----------------------
From Ur Righting that Cud Not have Been Long Ago
-------------------------------
And though I haven't heard any myths from churches, I did find the Gospel,
------------------------
No myths from churches eh? So you believe anything anyone says from a church of any denomination...the anti-skeptic lives
------------------------
& I dare say that it's got more to offer in it's simplicity than you will ever achieve in the zillions of words you may yet utter in vain babblings, trying to confuse, mislead, discourage & put down others.
-----------------------------
Simplicity? Then why are there so many sects that do not agree with one another?..if it so obviously simple you would think there would only be one church and everyone in agreement.
As to the second part..ok show me all the physical evidence for jesus and god and supply us all (with your great wisdom) the falsifiable and testable hypothesis of creation or are you hear to babble, try and confuse, mislead, discourage and put down others?
------------------------
No wonder Germany sucks. It's full of people like you.
-----------------
Glad you are not here to put down your fellow humans ...oh, and you are always free to leave and find the mother ship.

mothership, huh!? I bet you'd like that... One visible proof for God?
Lift up your hand & look at it! YOU try to explain to me how only one single cell could have "evolved" out of itsself & I'll believe you.
In fact, I'm NOT part of a church, & the reason why there's so many sects is the same reason for what I see happening here: It's the same story since the garden of Eden: Whenever something good is happening, 6 a bunch of people are happily enjoying the pure essence of their Creator, some SNAKE comes along to try to confuse them... Mothership?
BET you'd like that. John Paul Jones once said when he looked like he was losing the battle, his own arm nearly torn off & the enemy asked him if he was ready to surrender: "HELL, NO!!! WE HAVEN'T EVEN
BEGUN TO FIGHT!!!"

Just for fun (and it's posters like you who really put the "fun" back in "fundie"), what did you discover at age 12 that totally overthrew the theory of evolution? I'd love to hear what I've been missing all these years (just please don't tell me it was Wollemia nobilis).

McDozer
AIG is http://www.answersingenesis.com an Australian creationist organization. ICR The Institute for Creation Research | The Institute for Creation Research, an American organizaiton may also know of this German guy.
I presume you're aware that Tranquility Base was the name of the landing site of Apollo 11? Named after the Sea of Tranquility (on the moon). I'm aware that other frivilous uses of the name of this sacred place have occurred .
PS I am disappointed in the way you are personally attacking my BBS-friend on this site (not to mention the fact that my grandmother was German and I was brought up Lutheran. I still greatly value Lutheran contributions to Christianity both through history and in hte modern world).

Dear Tranquility Base, (remember, just a dumb musician, no scholar...)
thanks a lot for the information. Please accept my apologies if I should have offended you, I just wasn't ready for an "attack" from this side. To explain: I'm currently collecting info material on what you may call the "New World Order Conspiracy", & was just experiencing similar clashes with "defenders of the dark side", so to speak, especially on a German group. To settle the "mothership" issue once & for all: I'm German myself, so regards to your granny. I was a missionary abroad for 11 years 1980 - 91 & have experienced that Germans per se are generally a little more difficult to take (myself included) than some other nationalities & you might say even developed a dislike towards the hostile attitude of some. Personally, I still don't see the point in your friend's initial reply to my plea for help, as it was rather discouraging. Being entirely new to this site, though, I want to apologise & would just wish that only people would respond to posts if they have anything positive to contribute, instead of trying to hinder & discourage others. Maybe my initial choice of words was exaggerated & may have caused offense. I mean, I'm trying to get material in German to reveal information to them which at this point is not accessible. It's not the people I antagonize but the mental conditioning they (we) have been subjected to. many people don't realise this, but I personally believe that there are forces behind this misinformation. So, in hopes of a more peaceful future colaboration... and in the light of "Mammuthus" being your friend, apologies to him, as well, yours sincerely, McDozer

Well, good to see that SOMEBODY'S getting a kick outta this. What happened to me @ the age of 12? I got laid! (No, kidding, that was a wee bit later)... Simple: I was converted from stout atheism & faith in the evolutionary theory to belief in a Creator.- That's all. (Sorry if I won't apologize for that, as I turned out HAPPIER that way -)

Let me see if I've understood you. At age 12, someone said to you the equivalent of "Goddidit", and that convinced you that thousands of scientists, from multiple religions and cultures in multiple countries - specialists in biology, paleontology, geology, physics, astronomy, molecular biology, genetics, phylogeny, developmental biology, ecology, etc etc - were completely wrong and deluded to "accept the faith of evolution"? Wow. I don't suppose there was any particular piece of actual evidence you'd like to share that convinced you that a) all those scientists were wrong, and b) there was something in evolutionary theory or biology that was incompatible with the existence of God - or that even mentioned the divine?

I do admit, it was the choice of faiths that was the harder one to accept. Especially after having been brainwashed by teachers & books from "scientists", all claiming & demanding me to believe that "NOBODY DID IT! IT DID ITSSELF!"
