another question
I always hear people refer to God in the present. I find it hard to understand how they can think this way. If God "was" Jesus then how can he be spoken of in the present tense. Even if they believe he is coming back, he still isn't here now. People say he is inside of us (if you believe), if so then it would just be a thought or hope, not reality. Sounds like false hope to me.

He is here now.
Hey, Tom. I am a Believer. I knew "about" God for much of my life. When I was 32, I went to church and felt something, but I was still rational. One day, I allowed myself to fall to my knees and ask Him to come in to me. I felt a jolt, He did come in, and I now say with certainty that I met Him that day and know Him now. For you, He may choose a different method. He and only He knows how to reach you. I want to encourage you to show your wife love and support. I encourage you to trust in the One who is/was/and always will be. Hang in there!

He is here now, coming up the back passage

Nah, that seems to be his preferred method. Priests are, after all, his representatives on earth. Only difference was your age: they usually get the choirboys to feel something and be on their knees.

NO FAIR!
I was gonna make a joke about falling to your knees, asking someone to come in to you, and feeling a jolt, but thought it would be in poor taste!
I call shenanigans on you!
Frankly, if DT is going to start making divine-blowjob jokes, I'm not sure what my job is around here.

Choirboys and real Priests
You guys are sick! Unfortunately, many priests are also sick. When one idolizes the young choirboys, one is in need of discipline. As a matter of fact, I know lots of young boys too, but when I am on my knees it is for God and not for them. They have enough problems in life! Do not judge Christianity by the flaws of christians. It is like judging the twelve Apostles by Judas. Hey! One out of twelve is pretty good! That means eleven out of twelve did NOT deny Him.

You did a great job wrapping up Mr.Hambre in duct tape and hanging him from a meathook in an underground cellar to prevent him from commenting on that post.

Yeah, like that was a challenge. Tell Hambre there's duct tape bondage and meathooks involved, and he's like a dog following a trail of sausages.

Get in the lab and try to love somebody
Gee guys, at least I'm not still begging Syamsu for pearls of wisdom. I'll take my implements and go home before you get naked to tag-team Nganjuk Nellie. Am I the only one who does his own laundry here?
regards,
Esteban "Choirboy" Hambre

Re: Get in the lab and try to love somebody
Now you did it..you had to introduce judgemental language like "tag" and "team" which does not relate the individual to the penetration. I am sure quotes will turn up some day to support what I am saying so I will keep stating it as a fact until then.

Re: Get in the lab and try to love somebody
It's all about you being the expert and the other person knowing nothing, just like always. You and your retrotransposons think you know everything. I won't discuss this further until there's a proper forum for discussing whatever I mean by Darwinist Ideology on any given day. I think I've established the fact that everyone is pro-eugenics when we're discussing Kid Rock.

Hi notsosure!
You said, "Even if they believe he is coming back, he still isn't here now."
What I believe is, if you and all people see Jesus now.. then it would be the end of the day.
But, don't think that Jesus is not here, He did show up to some people.. if you read some of the testimonies.
And..
Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit
(John 14:15-18)
15"If you love Me, you will obey what I command. 16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever-- 17the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you know Him, for He lives with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.
---
I hope you understand now, why people can't see or feel the Holy Spirit, while some people can, including me. Not like false hope to me.
And to make you more understand about: "I will come to you", you need to know about the Holy Trinity; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Hope this help.
Guys, please.. don't make a sick joke when others share their personal moment with God. Thanks.

Isn't it amazing that there is meant to be one true God, yet people of every religion have the same feelings? I've talked to muslims, jews, christians and everything inbetween, and I hear the same thing from all of them "I felt God enter me, I felt his spirit", yet the religions are not compatible so someone must be wrong (in fact most of the planet must be wrong one way or the other).
As for the original question:
why is God in the present tense if Jesus hasn't returned?
Well the story goes that hes now in spirit form, he is meant to be everywhere and able to do anything (why he doesn't is a whole different debate), so he is in present tense cos hes meant to be here. His return is only a physical return, as his spirit never left.
