Are there any believers who can explain this bible verse.
"Luk 21:33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. "

Ok Sidelined,
"Luk 21:33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. "
quote: When the heaven' are spoke about in this verse he is talking about the universe(since that is what heaven is to us" and then goes into speaking about the "earth" also. What he means is that even if the universe has passed away his words remain. So in this way we know that even if all comes to a end we have him, and his glory with us always. Meaning we shalt live forever even if they passaway. "keep in mind there is more then one heaven it is a common mistake among apostate christians to believe only in one heaven. I hope this helps -Quiz p.s. you where asking about Judg 1:19"And the LORD was with Judah; and he drave out [the inhabitants of] the mountain; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron." You must understand that when it says the LORD was with him it ment the spirit of GOD was with him. You must understand that this is usally what it means. The LORD generally never follows around his servents literally except be it by the spirit of God in this way the LORD is with him. I also believe the Lord is with me always but he is not around me literally. You must also understand that I lose faith somewhat when it comes to asking certain things or I may not have sufficiant faith to have something happen/occour(this is why my faith is compared to a mustard seed). This is also ment in this verse. Judah didn't have enough faith to remove the chariots of iron. I believe the chariots of Iron were an army. -Quiz [This message has been edited by Quiz, 10-24-2003]

Ah ain't no bleever no more, but Ah kin anser yer qwestn.
I was taught(a familiar refrain these days) that Lk. 21:33 was associated with the "end-times" when the "heavens & earth will pass away", then there will be a new heaven & new earth in which all comes under the command (words)of Jesus. Read Revelation-the last two or three chapters. That may help.

Well duuhh! Do you think there are 3 heaven's as some will say. I always thought that when the ancient Jews discussed "Heaven", they were talking about the sky above the earth AND the space that contains the stars. Apostate christians?? Define please.

All churches which arose between After the saints died all the way up to Joseph Smith are Apostate, they are false in other words. It is scriptural.

Oh? So which churches aren't?
It would seem that all modern churches are apostate then, since none are even remotely simmilar to early christian churches.

quote:No But I assume it is talking about the papyrus many people claim as being the same as what J Smith used for Pearl of Great price, No would be the correct answer to that. The papyrus J smith used to translate the Book of Abraham or pearl of great price was burnt to a crisp. It is only acknowledged that the papyrus found was one of many that J smith had as people brought them to him all the time. -Quiz

Joseph Smith's name is not needed to make him a prophet. Prophets are ordained to be such Before they lived before they had a name. For in the council of heaven which was before the foundations of the earth, prophets were ordained. This is also biblical
Check out Jeremiah 1:5
"Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, [and] I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations." -Quiz [This message has been edited by Quiz, 10-25-2003]
