Hey, sorry if this is an existing topic already, but I was just wondering if someone could explain to me the creationism timeline and important dates (explaining the existence of dinosaurs in terms of creationism, etc.).
POST AFTER EDIT:
Looks like I made my first mistake. You're absolutely right, I did assume that the dates I would want to see would be obvious. Thanks for explaining that, and for welcoming me to the forums.
List of Dates on the Creationist Timeline:
-The 'coming into being' of the universe, and if it's convenient, a brief discription of that event.
-The 'birth' of:
-1.The Sun
-2.Earth
-3.The planets closer to the Sun (than Earth)
-4.The planets farther from the Sun
-5.Other stars and an explanation of the existence of galaxies.
Jumping to:
-When in the Biblical timeline dinosaurs were present, and whether the majority Creationism belief is that dinosaurs coexisted with humans or not.
And also, exclusive Biblical dates:
-The creation of the Garden
-The Great Flood, and how long it lasted.

Hi Drew,
Welcome to the forum! Yours is a very basic, and thus very important question. I'm not sure if the question has been addressed here in such a clear, summative fashion. I think it's a worthwhile topic.
What is not clear, however, is what points you're interested in having on the timeline. You assume it's obvious what the points are, but I don't think so at all. What I'd really like you to do is to think a bit and come up with a list of the important points you want placed on a timeline (note that it's likely that some of your points may be "explained away" instead of being placed on a timeline).
After you make a list of these important points, please edit your original post and add them in. I think that would lead to a fruitful discussion.
If other admins have a different idea, please feel free to comment.
And again, welcome to the fray!

i am most certainly not a yec, but i will venture some dates.
-The 'coming into being' of the universe, and if it's convenient, a brief discription of that event. the bible doesn't talk about the beginning of the universe. in genesis it's there already. well. he made it but it doesn't say when or how.
    -1.The Sun day four?
-2.Earth 'the earth was void and without form' see universe.
-3.The planets closer to the Sun (than Earth) see universe
-4.The planets farther from the Sun see universe
-5.Other stars and an explanation of the existence of galaxies. i'm not familiar with any so see universe.
    Jumping to:
-When in the Biblical timeline dinosaurs were present, and whether the majority Creationism belief is that dinosaurs coexisted with humans or not. it talks about mythical monsters but these are not dinosars. they don't even sound like dinosaurs. leviathan is a sea serpent and represents chaos in mythology older than judaism. the other one ... ask arach, i forget. but it is not a dinosaur.
    And also, exclusive Biblical dates:
-The creation of the Garden i don't recall it saying when. it says he placed man in the garden, but it doesn't say when he made it.
-The Great Flood, and how long it lasted. 40 days and nights of rain. then they went in the ark. then it was fully flooded for 40 days before everything died i guess and then more flood for 150 days. (7th month) then the waters start to receed and after 3 months you can see the mountain tops (month ten day 1). 40 days later the first bird. then 7 days and the next bird. 7 days and the bird a third time. first month first day the ground is dry and the ark opened. second month 27th day, earth is dry and they leave the ark.
it doesn't say what month they started and i don't know how long jewish months are or how many there are... so i'm guessing 284 days plus maybe 4 jewish months. so assume 30 days is 404 days so just a bit over a year.
