So... is nobody going to mention that "one of the nation's top evangelical leaders" was snorting meth with a gay hooker?

He only wanted a massage...from a gay hooker.

I mean, this is America. Everybody loves seeing lesbians go at it, as long as they are both hot and not in a monogamous, legally sanctioned relationship.

See? Homosexuality causes decay in our society and ruins the sanctity of marriage. Don't say I didn't tell you so. If anything, we should feel sorry for the holy reverend because he is a victim of the gay agenda. I am reviewing my copy of the gay agenda and on page... 23 paragraph 3 it says "...all male prostitutes must always target christian family men and ruin their ties with their families... it is our duty as homoexuals to destroy the sanctity of marriage..."

On page 32 paragraph 2 it says "...those christian men who resist your homosexual temptations you must seduce them with drugs. If they do not comply, you must plant the drugs on them..."

On page 36 paragraph 1 it says "...and every male in our society must abandon heterosexuality because it is the way god's way and we worship satan!"

On page 54 paragraph 6 it says "While christian females are no threat to us due to their weak minded nature intended by god, christian males are the only righteous people left in this world and we must destroy them. Destroy their morals and values and we destroy the very fabric of society itself, for this is our ultimate goal as homosexuals."

See? This is just another evidence that the gay agenda has taken hold of the media.

Many bothan spies died to bring me a copy of the gay agenda.

Mine doesn't have a page 54. Do you have the 5th edition? I am still on the 3rd.

I understand Mark Foley's copy is unreadable. He never uses a bookmark to hold his place.

He just bends over a page.

"Since 1942, the NAE has never had a moral, ethical or financial scandal of any sort. Thus, this is very painful," Cizik said. "I believe that our record of speaking and acting in conformity with biblical values will be upheld."

What is it with these people? He would more accurately have said "Since 1942, the NAE has never had a moral, ethical or financial scandal of any sort.... come to light"

The expectation that a Christian is somehow magically rendered unable to sin is the realm only of a tiny minority view that holds to Christians obtaining "sinless perfection"

A Christian turns (I suspect) out to be a sinner. Big deal...

The thing is, iano, that these are the same people who presume to be morally superior to everyone who doesn't share their religious views.

These are the same people who feel completely justified, due to the above-mentioned sense of superiority, actively working to get their particular take on morality written into the laws of the US.

This scenario has been played out over and over again, mostly with holier-than-thou-acting conservative Republicans.

Yes, I have the 5th edition. The bothan spies that survived to give me this copy told me that the last 20 or so pages were added on from the 4th edition to specifically deal with how the gays' world wide secret order plans to bring down the wrath of god (fire and brimstone... stuff like that).

That is not so. The Christian objection to homosexuality or to anything the Bible calls sin has nothing whatever to do with whether or not the Christian has committed it him or herself. Sin is sin no matter who commits it, and in general Christians are quite ready to confess our sins, the same sins the Bible condemns, that we are always warning everybody else about. There may certainly be some self-righteous among us, but in general I don't think that's true at all. (In fact the self righteous indignation factor at this site is heavily on the evo and atheist side). I have a pretty extensive record of sin myself, but since my eyes have been opened I see where that leads, and I see that a world founded on the permissive immorality I once lived by is doomed to destruction. God saved me out of it, though I still fall into old habits all too easily, and I'd like to see Him save others out of it, and I'd like to see us get smart and refuse to ratify public policies that are only going to bring our society down in flames.

Thing is, oh prettiest one, we all hold up a front behind which we hide our stuff. Simple test: Someone offers you a button to press, If your press it then every thought you have and every deed you do (including motivation) will be broadcast on exactly the same medium that this guys deeds (and the thoughts that presumably went with them) have been broadcast. For as long as you press the button.

Ya gotta ask yourself the question. "Do I press the button?" Well do you punk...? And if so, for how long.

We all hold ourselves up to be something other than we are. You, me everybody. Everybody...

What's the most shameful thing you have ever done/thought in your life Schraf?

The New York Times reports:

Speaking to the Denver television station KUSA outside his house in Colorado Springs today, Mr. Haggard said a Denver hotel referred him to Mr. Jones for the purpose of getting a massage. He said he met with Mr. Jones and bought the drug[methamphetamine]. “I was tempted, I bought it, but I did not use it,” he said today.

And he didn't inhale. Or swallow.

Yeah. What an astounding hypocrite.

I bought cocaine once. I didn't inhale or swallow. I looked - and thought better of it.

Not saying it happened here. But it happens.

But on what basis did you "think better of it?" Were you a Christian at the time?

I inhaled and swallowed all the illegal dope that came my way, but fortunately it didn't agree with me. Three increasingly strong LSD trips and I wasn't having any more of THAT. Marijuana gives me nausea. I guess it cures it for some, to me it does the opposite. By the time I got through all that I wasn't even going to *think* about cocaine. But I wasn't a Christian so I made no effort to avoid temptation. Now I work hard against temptation, and still sometimes it trips me up.

Word in your ear sis. Quit the confessions otherwise folk will get to thinking the reason why we cried out to God was because we were in desparate need.

ps: ever try mushrooms?

Well then, why did Rev Haggerd "confess" only when he was forced to?

Why do these "confessions" only come out when they are caught, not before?
