Hello I am wanting to get some feedback on a creation short film I made. Its a proof of concept on no budget but besides using text instead of a pro voice over I could not afford I think it turned out rather well. Any way I would really like to get feed back and thoughts from people on the forum if thats ok. Any way you can watch it at the link below. Thanks!
Oh and if you rate it please be fair and rate it on how well its done and not on your views of creation. It did take a long time to make.

This is not a bad video in terms of how it is done, however, it doesn't offer any evidence or proof at all. Simply quoting from the Bible doesn't prove Creationism any more than quoting from Charles Darwin proves evolution. Evolution has its strength from the supporting real-world empirical evidence that exists to back it up.
Unless you can offer up something comparable, your theory cannot stand and no scientists will debate it as science. Instead, it will remain a twisted, sick, mislead belief which at its heart drives to cause the extinction of scientific study and sensible, logical methods by which we gain knowledge and understanding of the world around us.

It's a nice rendition of the Biblical Creation Myth except for the stuff you added about there being no death, etc. That should probably be dropped.

It's pretty
Hi Sulla,
I think it is very pretty with nice music. Some questions come to mind:
For some reason there is a note about it being an answer to "lion sleeps tonight" video. Why is that? There is no conection.
How much of it is your material -images, music?
I think you paced it beautifully and matched music to that pacing very well.
I don't know why people on you tube tried to get into the kind of arguments we have here (well, I think I do know ). There isn't any content on there to argue with actually.

Re: It's pretty
Hi NosyNed glad you liked it. The only reason its connected to the lion video is becouse it was also animation.
The anitmations are mostly NASA public domain animations. I did the film as a test of video and music editing. I had never done either before. I thought it was ok for a first try. Will try to go back and make some others later that I do most of the work on. It just a matter of getting the money and time.
I know what you mean about youtube. Not really setup for debate like normal forums where you ban post more information.

Re: It's pretty ... but vapid.
To be blunt it is a pretty fantasy, but the biggest problem I had was that the text could have been anything and it would have been as well done.
Or text could have talked about astrophysics for instance, and at least been founded on facts, imparted some educational value.
Will try to go back and make some others later that I do most of the work on. It just a matter of getting the money and time.
Why don't you try one on evolution, say, and see what you can come up with? If you do, you may see what I mean.
But I'm sure you can get lots of funding from gullibles, if that's really what you want to do.
Sorry.

It was very pretty...and a nice job with the editing too.
I like the music too.
But I agree with RAZD...the text could have been Shakespeare, a random page of the phone book or quotes of Carl Sagan (actually, that would be a good idea in my opinion) and I probably would have said the same thing.
Edited by Doddy, : added that I like that idea

Hi Sulla,
Wow! Stunning!
There's a typo about Adam's helpmate, you have "help meet".
I'd like to understand how you created the film. Would I be correct in guessing that you downloaded videos from the ESA/Hubble site, then added text and soundtrack?

I don't think it's a typo - it's just rather archaic English. That usage of "meet" ("fitting" or "suitable") is used very rarely, if at all in modern English.

I think "help meet" is correct. It's not a term that feminists probably use very often, I expect, but it's in the Bible, and roughly translates as partner.
I prefer "spare rib".

Very nice, indeed.
The graphics are beautiful and the timing with the music is well done. I like it.
If you are in training as a graphics artist then you are well on your way to success. As an artwork this film works.
Some critique, however. Other than "art for the sake of the art" the communication of your subject is a bit slow. If the goal is to revel in the "devine creation" I would suggest expanding the scope to include images of the parting of the waters, other animals, etc, and a bit quicker pace.
Actually I would prefer images of non-devine creation, but that's a personal thing.
Well done.

You are exactly right for most of the effects they are downloaded from ESA/Hubble. I downloaded all of the videos then recut the best ones to match the music and dialog etc and of course added the pans and zooms of still images. Mainly it was as I said an excercise in editing video and music and timing. And it was all something new to me as my background is in illustration and fine art.
I would like to do another one in HD and all from scratch in 3DS Max with pro voice over etc. But I have to get the time and budget for it before I will be able to. But some day
Also thanks for all the feedback from every one. It is interesting getting to hear what people like and dislike etc.
