You could try e-mailing me a copy of one of them - Maybe I could see something. Other than that, I don't know what to say. By the way, I wish you had plugged this question into a relevant existing topic, rather than starting a new one. Adminnemooseus

Works for me
Uploaded one to my avatar. Are you sure you're just not turning on your avatar? Or are you accidentally entering an extra "p"? Moose

I uploaded both for you
It's the simple fix. Added by edit: If you change an avatar, the old one may still show up. You may need to reload to get the fresh one. Adminnemooseus Edited by Adminnemooseus, : See above.

Re: I uploaded both for you
I think the .jpeg extension is an Apple thing originally (maybe), and maybe that somehow didn't get along with your non-Apple computer/operating system. I seem to recall, in the past, needing to change the .jpeg extension to .jpg in order to view the photo. That was probably been back in the Windows 98 era. There are far greater computer wizards than me around here. Maybe they know something. Adminnemooseus

Re: I uploaded both for you
Hi Chuck, I'd like to try replicating the problem. Was the name of your avatar <something>.jpeg? When you say it said "jpeg", are you just saying that the image file had a jpeg extention, or was this part of an error message. If it was part of an error message, what was the full text, and did it occur before or after you clicked on "Upload Avatar".

Re: I uploaded both for you
Hi Percy, Im doing another one just for fun, here is the name of the file " thumbnailCABPCHAR.jpg" Ok, so I just browsed and picked a photo and clicked upload and recieved this message "Bad avatar file extension: ".pjpeg". Extension must be .gif, .jpg, .jpeg or .png." Im not sure what is wrong. The file clearly says "jpg". Last night the pics that I downloaded to my comp were "jpeg". Tonight it was "jpg". Same result tho. Edited by Chuck77, : No reason given.

Re: I uploaded both for you
Chuck, are you using windows and do you have "Hide known file extensions" turned on? Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

Re: I uploaded both for you
When you open a folder look under organize --> folder and search options. Make sure that hide known file extensions is unchecked. Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

Re: I uploaded both for you
God bless Internet Explorer. Whatever would I do with all my spare time were it not for this browser. This is fixed. You should be able to upload your avatar now. I'd appreciate it if you could play with it a bit, upload a different image, then upload back to the one you want.
