Mark 4:30-31
And he [Jesus] said, "With what can we compare the kingdom of God, or what parable shall we use for it? It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when sown upon the ground, is the smallest of all the seeds on earth;..."
Cleary this is not true.... talk to ANY botanist. Therefore Scripture is NOT inerrant.
Really it is unnecessary but just for fun try:
Leviticus 11:6 Deuteronomy 14:7 I dont believe Hares Chew the Cud
James 4:5 Would anyone care to find this in the scriptures for us?
Matt 27:9-10 Would anyone care to find this in Jeremiah for us?
OR compare Mark 6:8-9 with Matt 10:9-10 What are we to do about our sandals?

Welcome to EvC
Welcome to EvC nordog,
Thank you for proposing a new topic and adding to our diversity. Since you are new to EvC, I suggest that you carefully read the Forum Guidelines and familiarize yourself with the functions of EvC by using the Practice Makes Perfect Forum or posting in existing threads.
An opening post should consist of the topic question or statement being considered and the poster's own position concerning the subject.
Since it has been a while since these minor differences have been discussed, I don't have a problem promoting this topic, but I will not promote it as written.
Your position is that scripture (I assume you mean the Christian Bible) is not inerrant. Be specific about which religion's claim of inerrancy you are debating.
Since the Bible: Accuracy and Inerrancy Forum is a science forum, you do need to provide your supporting evidence. Take your comment on the mustard seed.

That is not supporting evidence.
I suggest that you use these blue quote boxes when quoting scripture.
You can use the peek button to see how it was done.
So make your case and write respectfully since you are dealing with someone's religion.
You can write a new OP in reply to this message and I will review it again.

As members, we are guests on this board and as guests we are asked to put forth our best behavior. Please read the Forum Guidelines carefully and understand the wishes of our host. Abide by the Forum Guidelines and you will be a welcome addition.
Again welcome and fruitful debating. Purple
