A man from Harun Yahya &co. e-mailed me that this creationist will tour England for a series of anti-evolution conferences.

I posted a copy of this message over on Internet Infidels. There's a fair selection of active evos from the UK over there that might find the challenge, errr, interesting.

Most likely Harun Yahya (Adnan Oktar) himself would not come. While touring Indonesia, the announcements say that Harun Yahya himself would come and speak, but instead two 'scientists' from Harun Yahya international showed up, along with local supporters.

I just checked. The UK Infidels are at least burbling on about how incensed they are concerning the encroachment of creationism into the UK. By this time tomorrow I predict they'll be back to blaming US cultural degeneration for it. At least they're aware...
By the by, are you planning on raking Buz over the coals concerning the at a minimum selective quotations from the Qu'ran? I guarantee you they didn't come from either of the official English translations (the Saudi one and the Egyptian one - have they ever resolved which one is the "real" official translation?) I'd be delighted to step in, but it might be more authoritative coming from you.
[Edited to change "Mike the Wiz" to "Buz". Sorry Mike. So many creationists, so little time...]

Thanks for the heads up Andya - think I may well pop along to the London one, although I'm not sure I'll be able to stomach it.
Hell, I'll even report back on what he had to say.
(Incidentally - do you know whether its now confirmed that Harun Yahya is in fact a pseudonym for Adnan Okhtar?)

Just the opposite--I now suspect that 'Harun Yahya' is not just Adnan Oktar but some team of writers. Two of them, Ali Sadun and Omer Ilicalli, might be the most prominent. Both spoke for 'Harun Yahya' when they were touring Indonesia, and some of HY's refutations were written by Omer.

d'oh!
Hi Andya,
When I got there I discovered that the talk was at 5pm and not 7pm. All I got to see were lots of men with beards looking smug.
