I don't know whether anybody else has posted this, so I'll risk re-posting it, and apologise if it's already common knowledge.
Kitzmiller et al versus Dover: courtroom transcripts
See Behe get taken apart by a lawyer who knows more about evolution than Behe does.
Enjoy!

Re: Thank you!
It's terribly addictive. I check the site every few minutes for new pdfs.
It's great to have all of this on record. Apparently Dembski and some other Discovery people agreed to testify but dropped out at the last moment. So we should give credit to Behe for at least showing up!
Mick

The only problems I had (from reading the first part of the cross examination) is that he had Behe nailed a few times but did not push it. I mean, he got the guy to basically admit that under his definition of science, astrology is science, that "the evidence for design is self evident" is not a tautalogy, and that his proposed designer is the xian god. He should have pressed him harder, especially after he criticized Behe's constant falling back on arguing about the Big Bang any time he was on the ropes even though he admitted having little knowledge about physics.

He tried to push it a few times, but he can't direct the expert witness' testimony, cannnot be argumentative. It's just questions and answers.

I actually take back what I said. I just finished the second day cross examination and Rothchild decimated Behe. The lawyer did his homework...especially with puffer fish blood clotting which reduces the irreducibly complex system
Makes for entertaining reading.

Did anyone catch this?
Patrick Gillen writes:
By virtue of his personal reading, he was aware of intelligent design theory and that 300 or so scientists had signed a statement indicating that biologists were exaggerating claims for the theory.
Oops.
