This is somewhat awkward for me to ask... but is there any purpose to why the male genital is darker than the rest of the body?

Maybe you need to check your fly in sunny weather?  I think it may have more to do with blood flow, with venous blood causing a darker purple/blue color vs. more arterial blood giving things a regular, fleshy appearance. It may be that the veins are closer to the surface.

The glans is covered with a different type of skin than the rest of the body. It lacks certain skin glands and has more nerve endings. Also, I think what Loudmouth said about blood vessels is true as well.

Well, since we are supposed to be created in Gods image it must be because also His genitals are darker then the rest of his body. What would God need genitals for anyway? If He is supposed to be the only God, who would he have sex with (when there can't be any female gods)? Ofcourse the male genitals is also for urinating, but why would he need to be able to have an erection? Oh, all the questions this raises..

This question occurred to me this morning while I was in the shower. As I was drying myself while looking into the mirror, it occurred to me that... well, a part of me is darker than the rest of me. Why am I telling you this? I don't have a freaking clue.

I personally can't relate erection with urination, but.... Anyway, masturbation is a very pleasant thing. I'm sure God masturbates all the time, since it has an eternity's worth of time alone with no mate. It just occurred to me. God probably created Adam because he was desperate for anal sex. Genesis makes perfect sense to me now. Adam probably complained that his butt hurt too much after a while (God probably has a very very big penis), and that's why God created Eve with a refined hole for insertion.

Adam probably complained that his butt hurt too much after a while (God probably has a very very big penis), and that's why God created Eve with a refined hole for insertion. actually, there's good textual evidence that god making man was a stepping-stone for god making another god. i won't really go into, but you're more or less right, minus the sexual part. god is apparently capable of that all by hisself, according to the qabala. and yes, it did work considerably better than new coke.

I want an honest answer from the ladies. Do you think the male genitals are more sexy being darker like they are now or do you wish the genitals to be a lot lighter?

Hmmm, my penis isn't any darker than my normal skin, though this may have something to do with my tan. My penis is just as dark as my arms when I compare the two but if I compare my penis to the skin on my ass my penis is much darker. hmmm...I think I went into a little too much detail... sorry.
