These questions were put forward in another thread in support of intolerance being justified in certain circumstances.
1. What example did Jesus provide to us about this very issue?
2. Did Jesus say that all ideas and opinions have equal value?
3. What action did Jesus take when He noticed that merchants were using the temple to make a profit?
4. Would you consider that action intolerant?
5. Does taking that action make Jesus a "bad" person?"
I don't have the answers to these questions but I would wager there is conflicting bible evidence to show the opposite.
I believe that Jesus was inconsistant and gave conflicting advice. Didn't jesus say to love your enemies? Does this not include tolerance?
What right had jesus to judge others without tolerance or understanding? Maybe he was just being human? In which case why all the hullaballoo about this man?

Main Point
The bulk of your post deals with tolerance and intolerance in relation to Jesus, but your title and the final question do not.
I'm not inclined to promote this topic as written. I don't see the hullaballoo issue a viable discussion. Too broad.
What exactly are you wishing to discuss?

Inconsistent bible interpretations

The issue was about intolerance towards those 'bigoted christians' who do not support gay rights. The irony is that both anti and pro-gay quote the bible to support their beliefs. They cannot both be correct.
Is the bible, and in particular the story of Jesus, inconsistent, contradicting and conflicting in it's interpretation?

Re: Inconsistent bible interpretations
Inconsistencies and conflict in the Bible is a very wide subject, hence the Accuracy and Inerrancy thread.
I found the post that contained the questions you listed. It is Message 291 in the "What you want to know about Christ." thread. It was a thread set up for asking questions.
I don't see that the questions asked by the poster were in support of intolerance as opposed to questions about what Jesus taught concerning intolerance. You might want to read their previous posts.
Do you want to discuss what the NT presents as Jesus' position concerning intolerance in various circumstances?
I don't feel we need another thread concerning homosexuality specifically.
Do you want to find answers for and discuss these questions concerning intolerance? If yes, the OP needs to be revamped to make that intent clear.

Re: Inconsistent bible interpretations
Thanks adminPD, the issue is that the majority of discussions, debates and arguments are supported on both sides by the bible interpretataions, even when there is total disagreement. For example, the pro-gay rights and the anti-gay rights supporters use the bible to verify their opinions.
The issue is not about gay rights or accuracy and inerrancy of the bible or Jesus' intolerance but "Why the need to refer to the bible and jesus specifically to live one's life?" Could it be that the bible is the biggest scape goat known to man?

Re: Inconsistent bible interpretations
Now I understand your general idea. Unfortunately we don't have a clear OP to start a rousing debate. Too many varying questions.
An opening post should consist of the topic question or statement being considered and the poster's own position concerning the subject. Some background information on the topic question is also good when the question could be perceived several ways.
I'm not inclined to promote this topic as written.
Let me know if you want to rework the OP
