I am dancing wildly ... well OK not so much but go with me here.
Two of my most favoritist scientists in the universe just received the 2020 Nobel Prize in Physics - Roger Penrose and Andrea Ghez - both for their black hole work.
Penrose's half of the prize is for his theoretical work on the dynamics of the event horizon.
The other half of the prize is split between Andrea Ghez and Reinhard Genzel both of whom led teams that both competed and collaborated on finding Sagittarius A*
Everyone knows of Roger Penrose. You gotta love the mind.
I fell under Andrea's spell during a lecture at Stanford much too long ago. I've followed her career ever since. Yes, I stalked her by reading her papers.
Dr. Ghez is only the fourth woman to receive a Nobel in Physics.
Physicists who unravelled mysteries of black holes win Nobel prize

This year's crop of laureates brings back a bit of light to a rather dim year, that is for sure.

Charpentier and Doudna for CRISPR/Cas9.
With Ghez, it's good to see the girls getting their due recognition as well.
Unfortunately we still have a big chunk of 2020 still to go complete with minefields and boobytraps, but this years Nobel's are shining bright for sure.

If you're looking for a HS oriented physics course. Yes math intensive, but she explains it so well.
Know a young'un with a brain? Maybe send them a link.
No. I get nothing from this promotion except to shill for my own Church Of The Objective Physical Reality (really, don't try acronyms - I didn't think on it all that long).
