In another thread, Steve8 made the following claim:
Well, you may think they have been established...they sound like circular reasoning to me, based on assumptions that have yet to be proven...
It seems to me that following up on this claim would be off topic in the original thread, so I have started this one.
The "assumptions" Steve8 are reffering to are the facts of evolution. I would like to see Steve8 or anyone who agrees with him defend the position here. Show exactly how the reasoning of biology and evolution is circular.

Needs more work
I vaguely recall long thinking that we could use a good "circular reasoning" topic.
I think we need more content in an opening message. Please submit a new version via a new message (rather than editing message 1). If approved, than new message can become message 1 of the new topic.
One specific thing that could be explored in the "the rock date the fossils and the fossils date the rocks" idea.

Re: Needs more work
Your request, while logical and reasonable, is not one that I can respond to. Steve8 made the claim of circularity. I do not believe that the science of evolution is, so I challenged Steve8 or someone who agrees with his position to lay out their reasoning.
I do not know the reasoning and to attempt to formulate the argument for them would be a strawman.
Given that, if the admins feel this is not a productive topic, I will withdraw.

Re: Needs more work
I'll close this. In an ideal world, Steve8 would open up a PNT and be more specific on what he's trying to say. mikehagar did all the right things, but without more info from Steve8, we just don't have anything to work off of.
Thanks.
