I posted a topic looking for information for a term paper that I am writing for my Western Civilization II class and have recieved some heplful information. Thank you to those who contributed! However I am looking for some more information on the churches attempt during the 18th and 19th century to suppress the advancement of scientific beliefs. Especially their opposition to the ideas of Darwin's theories on evolution. Any links or information is again greatly appreciated...... Thanks!!

I will move the content of this (redundant) topic, to the referred to pre-existing topic. This will consolidate all to one topic.
Then this topic will be closed. Perhaps it should also be deleted.

Added by edit: A technical glitch is preventing the reposting as mentioned above. I was getting the message "Sorry, we could not post your reply to this topic. Contact your bulletin board administrator and inform them that they may have may run out of available disk space. Their web host may be preventing them from posting new files.".
I have e-mailed Percy on this. Also, will try again later. In the meantime, please take any new messages to that other topic.
Newer added by edit: That other topic has disappeared! Will try to track it down. In the meantime, this topic is open again.

Well, that other topic is gone from the site. Something apparently went bad, while I was trying to post to it yesterday.
I have recovered a copy of the topic, from my disk cache. I have posted it at my personal site; It can be found here, sans the support graphics.
