My condolences to Bears' fans. The bears started out with a lot of momentum. They were able to make a touch down in the first minute. Anyway, being a bears fan myself, I'm feeling a great sadness.

Man, I don't even care about the bears... I was raised New England. But just as someone who lives in Chicago, that was downright embarassing. Quick tip, Bears. Your game will improve if you stop smearing your hands with butter and astroglide before each play.

Haha, I know what you mean. But let's not forget how the colts got 6 instead of 7 original points.

This Superbowl was a no-lose case for me. I grew up in Naptown when everyone there was a Bears fan: Indy had no pro team of any kind; Chicago and Cinncinatti were the foci of sports fan loyalty. I spent many an afternoon and evening with my father and brothers in the 60s and 70s, cheering on the Bears. Still, I had to admire the Hoosier chutzpah when they picked Baltimore's pocket in the dead of night back in 1984 to take one of the most storied NFL franchises. I haven't lived there since long before that happened, though, and I don't follow pro sports much anymore since "the hometown team" concept means little in these days of frequent trades and highest bidders: there's no "I" in team, but there is "meat." Losing is always a bit embarrassing. I thought the Bears did okay: it's hard to look good losing. Free Dr. Adequate!

It's even harder to look good when you can't hold onto the ball for ten seconds at a time.

Superbowl Ads
Yes it was a crazy game. You almost wish they would sew a handle on the ball after a while. There where 2 back-to-back turn overs. Even the ads were terrible - except for the "k-fed... I said fries now..." There was a weird ad by Chevy playing a song with the words "it is getting hot in here... lets take all of our clothes off" and then showed men stripping and rubbing themselves on a Chevy car - yuck!!!! I have no clue what sliver of the population they were trying to reach. I think if I owned a Chevy product i would feel dirty. The NFL ad industry is making it hard to watch football with your kids.

Re: Superbowl Ads
The Coke GTA ad was pretty funny.

Re: Superbowl Ads
What was that one with the 2 men accidently kissed each other and then telling each other to do something manly by pulling out their chest hair? Can't remember what that one was for. My favorite was the... ad for job thing... I have a bad habit of remembering the funny commercials but never remember what they were for. Although, I do remember the fedex one where they were on the moon.

No... it's the one where, basically, a round of Grand Theft Auto stops because the thug you're controlling drinks a coke, and suddenly starts helping little old ladies cross the street, and saluting police officers, and finally busting out in a musical number.
