There is no macroevolution
only semi-meiosis

I always thought I couldn't do these, but it's quite easy really, innit?!
Suboptimal design?
I believe there's no such thing!
Then come and see this.
Homo habilis:
Some are ape and some are man!
NosyNed sees red.
Kurt Wise counts few kinds:
Baraminologist fool.
Much evolution!

I assume 5/7/5 is the number of syllables in each line, yes? Well, I have a question which may sound absurd, but how do you know how many syllables in a word?

Depends on the word.
Some words diff'rently are writ
If you want to scan.
I count with fingers
Saying the words in my head.
Does not always work.

Well, I have a question which may sound absurd, but how do you know how many syllables in a word?
A syllable is a dominant vowel sound. Listen to yourself speaking and forming words. Consonants have no tone, but pick up the tone of the vowels around them. Each time you change vowel tone, that's a new syllable.
Or you can pick up a dictionary and look at the pronunciation guide. They split the word up into syllables and capitalize the accented syllable. This is a great method if you're unable to speak.
Aren't haiku supposed to be about nature and seasons? If you ask me, they're a degenerate verse form in English. Stick to the Japanese, if you ask me.
