Why do you think?

Why do you think some creationists chose to ignore scientific evidence? I'm not saying that all of them do, but there are some that just won't acknowledge a single thing we say. Since I don't know if I should mention any name, I'm not going to mention anyname. You can refer to this thread starting page 12 to get an idea of what I mean. Make sure you read all the way to the end. This thread is another example. In this one, a particular person claimed that both mathematics and science are invalid. Yet, this person also admitted that he/she never taken any class or read any book regarding these subjects.Before this, I thought that this would be a case of "la la la I can't hear you...." However, after some 6 or 7 threads that this person has actively participated in, I'm beginning to think that there is something else going on inside this person's mind.Any idea?
