Re: I like beer
My favorite drink of the entire week is the beer I crack while I cook Sunday breakfast and listen to blues and/or jazz.
You drink in the MORNING?

I must admit to having a much greater appreciation for wine and hard ciders than beers, but I do enjoy a belgian wheat beer now and then.
Are you an alcoholic?

Re: Serious beer
There are three essential questions one must answer.
1. Is it the only beer?
2. Can I get it open?
3. Is it the last beer?
Everything else is peripheral
Yes and one other: Are the stores still open?

Re: Serious beer
We drank what was in the house, and then around 9 o'clock headed out to the package store
Omnivorous, if you have to go to a "package store," you are definitely in the boondocks.

Re: beer appreciation
Beer drinkers have as much legitimacy as wine drinkers have.
What can't we all just get along?

Re: I like beer
On Sunday I start the day with coffee, open that special Sunday breakfast beer when the meal is about 15 minutes from serving, and then switch back to a cup of coffee afterwards over the NY Times before gettin busy around the house or yard.
I could never do that.

Re: Hop to it...
All you have to do is try--that's all the Hop asks of you.
Impossible. The beer bone is not connected to the coffee bone.
my personal regimen for all liquids:
1. 5:00 am to 8:00. Coffee with cream.
2. 10:00 am diet Coke
3. 2:00 pm Diet coke
after 3:00, water.
and then I've already given my routine for the stuff later in the evening.
I can't mix this stuff together.

Re: Regimental drinking
I may disagree with what you drink, but I will defend to the death your right to drink it.
I think Ulysses Grant said that.
Like I said, you're the comic POTM winner.

Re: Hop to it...
you of course realize that the worst thing you are drinking is the diet coke?
What's wrong with diet coke?
I don't drink it for the dieting aspect. I just like the taste.

two aliens were observing earth customs saw
human drink rum and coke and get intoxicated
human drink rye and coke and get intoxicated
human drink bourbon and coke and get intoxicated
I hope I am above such practices as mixing valuable liquor with anything!

Re: Hop to it...
And this doesn't suggest to you that drinking it in can sized amounts is a bad idea!?
Apparently not. Many products have multiple uses.
What do you drink--mango juice?

What's your point?
