Nothing at all to do with that (and I speak as someone who has worked with a number of the police forces in the UK), the vast majority of people just don't attempt to take the police on in combat.

how do you work that out? Just because we don't like guns doesn't mean that we don't believe in self-defense.This is my last word on the matter - I've learnt from long internet experience that americans never get our views on guns and vis-versa.

Ah nothing like a topic like this to bring the bigots out - Male rape is even less about sex than female rape. I guess those queers have got to do something when they are not attacking children.I'm always gobsmacked how many of those posters here can be so intelligent in some areas but total unaware in others.

sorry Rei - you know how it is - I was in the house (gun to hand) and a queer was trying to get in the window - I just hit the reply button in a panic.

There is one thing about those types of threads (those that involve guns and the like) - they start off quite sober, before long people are comparing which type of weapon is the best for slashing and the like.I'm sorry America is a sick society.

please link to a post where I say self-defense is wrong.Please link to a post where I claim that magical superheros will protect us.Can you tell me the connection between self-defense and the discussion on a talkboard about the relative merits of which weapon will kill the quickest.
