Technically they never broke up. Axl just kicked everyone else out of the band. For years he's been assembling a new GnFnR and promising that the new albulm Chinese Democracy would be released, but so far there's nothing.

As for music reccomendations as a good Canadian I must order you all to to listen to anything by The Tragically Hip. I also reccomend The Matthew Good Band's Beautiful Midnight and Matthew Good's solo CD Avalanche.
