Re: Hypocrites
Hi, Brian.
Brian writes:
How many cultures has this institution brutalised? How many temples of so called 'pagan' gods has this institution demolished? The Roman Catholic Church's history is littered with murder, attempted genocide, child abuse, forced conversions, anti-semitism, and a whole range of other inhuman acts, and they freak out about a wafer!
Be careful, Brian: the people complaining about the wafer are not the people who killed the pagans and the implemented the Inquisition and all that. Take our Catholic friends here: CS and Artemis. I'm sure neither of them has ever killed a pagan.

Re: Hypocrites
Hi, Brian.
Brian writes:
They should just 'turn the other wafer' just like Jesus said they should do.
Dude, that's awesome.
Brian writes:
They still choose to associate themselves with the institution that carried out these atrocites, fully sanctioned by many different Popes.
I think, we if dug deeply enough, we could think of something bad about every institution one of us is a part of, as well. For instance, I'm a Mormon, and you probably know all the bad things people associate with Mormons. You... well, your country invented bagpipes, so I don't think you have the right to complain about anybody's mistreatment of anybody else.
Edited by Bluejay, : Apparently, some sentences need subjects.

Hi, Artemis.
Artemis Entreri writes:
somehow laws against religion are fine, while laws against sexual preference are not?
I don't think anybody here has supported or proposed an anti-religion law. So far, I've only seen arguments that say this was not a "hate crime" and that some religious folks are overreacted.
