This is sheer frickin' idiocy. I was talking to a YEC, and the last thing she said to me was:
"First, may I say thank you for your reply. I can see you've put a lot of time and effort into it, so I also thank you for that.
I will now go and spend a few days digesting what you have to say.
"
So you closed down the thread.
Are you completely off your head?

I have no idea what you are talking about
Link(s) please.
And shouldn't this have gone either to the "General discussion..." or the "Thread Reopen..." topics (links below)?

Re: I have no idea what you are talking about
You have no idea of what I'm talking about?
Really?
Let me spell it out to you, then. I was arguing with a YEC, and she said "First, may I say thank you for your reply. I can see you've put a lot of time and effort into it, so I also thank you for that. I will now go and spend a few days digesting what you have to say."
At which point our discussion was banned.
She thanked me for my comments but you banned the discussion.

Oh, that topic
Not really a "Coffee House" topic, and I can't see moving a "Hello" topic to another forum, so I guess I'll just have to reopen the sucker.
But perhaps one of you would like to propose a "real" topic, to go into one of the creationism/evolution forums. Maybe you'd like a "Great Debate"?

Simmer down, Doc. Coffee House is for things light and frothy, not for ripping the gonads (or the female equivalent) from a YEC.:-p

Both boys and girls have gonads.
In fact, during fetal development, everyone is female (and has female gonads) unless told otherwise by the DNA to then turn into a male.
So, all boys have modified female genitalia.

Thank GOODNESS for this wonderful fact. I wouldn't trade my maleness for anything in the world.

Thank GOODNESS for this fact, also. I'm willing to bet that if it is the other way around, that all fetuses start out as male first before turning into female, the creationist would be using it to prove the genesis account where Eve was created from Adam.

This is simply not biblical - as we all know girls were an afterthought!
Women were formed *from* man, not as you suggest, the other way around. Shessssh.

In fact, during fetal development, everyone is female (and has female gonads)....
Does this mean everyone is a lesbian?

God must have overdone it when He made Eve an "innie". (Didn't know His own strength.) Now all the boys have to push 'em back out before they're born.

I wouldn't trade my maleness for anything in the world.
I don't know about that. "Equal work, more pay" works out pretty well, as does all that patriarchy and shit (although I'm not closeted-gay enough to get the majority of the benefits), but vaginas seem pretty handy. Also breasts seem like a pretty good time.
Having male genitals is like having a big "off" button right between your legs. It's kind of like everybody knowing where Data's power button is. Peeing standing up is only barely worth it, I think.

Sheesh, I try to get the Doc back into good humour and next we are delving into physiology. Ah, EvC, good one day, far out the next.

Such a typical straight dude attitude.
I used to be exactly like you. I'd imagine having boobs and play with them all day long...
Take a few weeks off, go to gay clubs, try to become gay, and perhaps even sleep with a few gay guys. Trust me, if anything, not only will it confirm your heterosexuality but it will also make you appreciate being male and having the male genitalia
And what the hell are you talking about with the peeing thing? I absolutely thank the universe everytime I go to the bathroom. Just think of it this way. At least you can aim...
