LudoRephaim:
The bigfoots where impressive, with many color ranges in hair (orange, gray, black) and a big, impressive male pod leader (8 feet in height or so, solid black, very formidable looking).
Peretti has a thing about 'blackness,' too.
I heard him once, in an American radio broadcast, giving an inspirational talk to a group of fundies. He described how he had lost his job as a Pentecostal preacher and ended up taking a factory job that he hated. He said he was working in this factory when he wrote
This Present Darkness--a novel in which a humble white Pentecostal preacher finds himself at war with an invading army of demons, all of which are black.
He never described the racial mix at his workplace. But he did describe lunch hour, when co-workers playing loud music on 'their big ghettoblasters' would surround him as he tried to listen to the 'Christian music' playing on his little peashooter of a radio.
Peretti's a genius, really. Master of
unintentional symbolism.
One of the smaller females got tackled by a Blackbear[...] in which the female slew it using her bare hands (a pun, i think...)
Yes, and unintentional.
