I was wondering if it's ok for me to start a Lying For Jesus Award of the Month thread each month.
It's kind of mute...
A person cannot come to Christ unless they are a poor wretched liar to begin with. C'mon you know... Blessed are the poor in spirit. The broken and confessing.
So calling a Christian a sinner (in any sense of the term), is like calling a Tasmanian Devil sinless.
No one will be shocked...

I'm not calling a christian a sinner, since obviously I don't believe in the concept of sin. I'm calling a christian (who represents the rest of you christians) a liar.
Reading comprehension problem here?
What's wrong about lying? Why do you impose your morality on this person.
Of course the only logical answer is a charge of hypocrasy.
So then the question is begged... 'what's wrong with hypocrasy?' And why do you impose that on this person?
Just because Satan (devil) is not a hypocrite, does not make him right.

Truth, truthfulness, and morality are important to me. Why would I ever want to convert to a faith whose practice opposes truth, truthfulness, and morality?
Because it is the source of what you say is important to you. And that is why you respect it. Because it is universal truth and is real.
Don't confuse the message with the messangers...
We're all sinners... but the worst one's won't even admit that. You didn't give up on christianity because the Christians were sinners. You gave up on it because you wanted to keep your sins and not carry the cross of shame that they do.

I'm self centered, in that I need no one else to help carry me or solve my problems, particularly the help of a person who is dead. I also don't like the idea of being a sheep. I don't have wool!
It's funny you know... You're dependant on air, water, food, gravity, time, space, matter, energy, logic, etc...
And you were dependant on you mother and father (and likely still are at your age). But here we are, in the presense of a God!
Oh automomous one, may I worship you?
You are utterly dependant. As am I.

Re: Faux Pas
Persuasion is achieved by actions rather than words.
Perhpas that is why I have only witnessed battles at EVC and no conversions (by anyone).
Unless you are only giving credit to those of you with animated Avatars...
