Mr Jack's Shaggy Foot
Taking off Mammuthus's slogan and a famous Dr. Demento skit, how about "Mr. Jack's Boot to the Head Beer"?

The Shaggy Foot is only 4% ABV - so I don't think that fits. I think a title such as that calls for an altogether stronger brew!

The Shaggy Foot is only 4% ABV
Then you should call it "Mr. Jack's Pretty Pink Party Dress for Sissy Little Girls".

Update #4
Mr Jack's Shaggy Foot is turning into a quite quaffable drink, a little yeasty still but as it conditions some more that should drop away.
Just waiting 'til next pay day now so I can start the next batch.

Re: Update #1

parsnips are fairly bitter arent they? Won't that conflict with the honey?
1) Parsnips are not bitter, but kind of sweet. they taste a little bit like carrots. Are you thinking of turnips?
2) Even if they were bitter, sweet and bitter flavors together tend to balance well and become greater than the sum of their parts: think honey + mustard, or sugar + chocolate.

Home Brew: The Next Generation
Well, the Shaggy Foot is dwindling fast and has been much enjoyed by myself and my friends and it's time to make the next brew. I've got the ingredients and a second fermentor so I can go two-stage. I don't how it'll turn out - I've just bought a bunch of ingredients and am hoping for the best. One thing is certain though; it's going to be strong...
