So here's the question, am I wrong now, for forcing my religious views on the rest of the nation?
You are not forcing your religious views on the rest of the nation.
If there is a GOD, and if that GOD considers homosexuality a sin, and if there is life after death and if that GOD does judge folk then that GOD will make some determination about the fate of homosexuals.
In the meantime, life for many people here on earth will be improved. You and your personal relationships will not be effected.
In all, I believe you have made a wise, Christian decision.

Gaydom is irrelevent, God says no fornication is allowed, and that marriage between a man and woman is the only correct course of action.
Really, where does GOD say that? I know that GOD did say, a guy and a gal should get together and screw like crazy and push them babbies out, but where did GOD limit it to the only option? I also know that you and Paul and some Sadducces and Pharisees and a few others have interpreted the rules to exclude other relationships, but where did GOD exclude other relationships?

but also one that led to great evil.
All authority is in place by God's hand.
That was one of the things used to promote the Divine Right of Kings. As such it led to some of the greatest acts of oppression yet seen.
It's fine to be aware of the passages but you also need to understand that GOD did give us the ability of Critical Thought, and the tools to use that ability.

On the duties ...
That would make a great thread IMHO, but getting way OT here. There is a vast body of material in te Eastern religions on the duty of the individual that is present but often ignored or hidden in the Western religions, particularly Christianity. Perhaps when you feel up to it you could start a thread.
