I'm not going to hold you responsible for the quality of the study, but the one at the link seemed less than conclusive about anything except a specific batch of students during a single year.
That is not to mention there was no way to narrow down what might have been causative factors. It could very well be that different cultures in the households might explain the differing results.
As it is they seem to cite another study (more localized) which shows a different result, and the conclusion of the article seemed to be down on Black performance.
What I took away from the article is not so much that black perform better, but rather that one cannot make the claim that race cannot be used to label people as inherently worse at something.
I read something once about black tank units in WW2. It was assumed they were too stupid to run tanks and so they were kept behind and did nothing but train train train. When they finally were put into the field they excelled beyond white tank units in performance. I think the same thing happened for black air units too.
