Just a couple of minor things:

So about a zillion people share this belief and it's a central part of islam but it's not mentioned anywhere? Have I got that right?

Oh, and then there is Hugo Chaves who has been quoted as saying that he feels love and compassion for all the Arab people, and might actually be Arab himself. You know, it's comments like this that tip us off that the thing that is really scaring you guys is that there are people in the world who aren't going to take their orders from Washington.

I love watching someone claim he is making a briefing where he violates ALL security laws.
I don't have the quote on me (I think its classified, as I didn't turn anything up on google) but Amadinejad said something to the effect that there would be a pin prick that would ignite a great fire...or words to that effect...4 days before the Hezbos performed their raid to kidnap those IDF forces along the Lebanon border. Isn't there some term for disclosing classified information?

The quote I was talking about was President Tom's speech, not Islamic bleief in the Mahdi. As to Chavez, he gave that interview in Qatar. I'll let you decide who his friends are.

Isn't there some term for disclosing classified information? Cute, but irrelevant. The source I got the quote from was classified, but the speech he gave wasn't. I just can't find it with a quick google. Obviously, I can't quote the source. Its not on the internet anyway (or I would have quoted it)

I'm always more impressed when the people playing Secret Squirrel can actually spell the names of the people they are talking about: Amadinejad A hmadinejad (it's translated in lots of ways but it's always got that H in it).

I dont' care if Mr. Chavez doesn't take his marching orders from Washington. What I do care about is that he is chosing his side for himself and his country. Remember I said tha lines were being drawn and people were picking sides. Chavez is simply an illustration of that.

"They (Israelis) are doing what Hitler did against the Jews. They are killing innocent children and whole families," he said in the remarks dubbed in Arabic. On Thursday, Chavez said he ordered the withdrawal of Venezuela's ambassador to Israel in protest. The Lebanon war, which erupted after Hizbollah snatched two Israeli soldiers in a border raid on July 12, has coincided with an Israeli offensive in the Gaza Strip to recover another captured soldier and halt Palestinian rocket fire. Chavez, on a visit to Doha where Al Jazeera is based, said Israel was carrying out an "imperialist offensive" against Lebanon and the Palestinians that was orchestrated by the United States as part of a bid to control the energy-rich region. "The American hand is pushing them. It is behind the Israeli aggression, it is an imperialist aggression ... and Israel is one of the imperialist tools."

You mean the side of the people of his country, and the people of the third world that have been victims of Western imperialism? That sounds like the correct side to take to me.

Just to clarify, we are talking about the Islamic Republic of Iran. Yes, they are mostly Persians. Raical history doesn't matter. Shia Islam is the key. Finagle with semantics, or keep on track with the discussion of President Tom's beliefs.
