Re: Bump
This is pulled from a video, so it's not the clearest pic, but it is the most recent.

Re: Bump
I'm sorry I let the cat out of the bag, but don't go catatonic on us.
I will try to remain cattish although not catty and continue to avoid catachresis.
Although I'm not much of a catamount these days, I do have my moments.
So just close your eyes, click the back button and my photo will go away and you can continue to debate the with the cat.
Warning though, he does have ALL his claws!

Re: Bump
That would definitely make me caterwaul!
To avoid cat calls and cat o' nines, I'll just saunter off for a catnap before lunch.
(I have sudden urge for catfish)
BTW, do you know what a cat's favorite color is?

Motorcycle
Hey Schraf, lovely photo.
I asked my Dad for a horse when I was a kid. He said we didn't have enough room. (We lived on an 80 acres farm) I don't think he liked horses.
He bought a motorcycle instead. He said "At least when you're not riding, it won't eat."
Poor man. He never was too crazy about animals and I adopted every stray that came by. I never did get my horse. I did have a pet pig though. Not great for riding, but she did keep the salesmen away.
Are there anymore ladies out there hiding behind avatars?

Of course, that didn't help the pig avoid its ultimate responsibility
Ours had the same destiny. We knew the rules.
She was only in the garage while she was a tiny runt. When she got as big as the dogs, she went outside. My father wasn't much for animals in the house.
We had beef cattle and hogs. There used to be chickens, but they were long gone before me.
My husband is a city boy, so living with me has been an interesting experience for him.
We get our chicken meat from a local organic farmer. I sent my husband to pick up the birds. Unfortunately they weren't done processing all of them and my husband saw just how fresh our chickens were!

Did your face look like your avatar?

Sounds like you still consider yourself a farmgirl!
Most definitely! I tried city life after high school while in the military. I don't function well in the city. The suburbs are better but still small.
When my husband and I went looking for a place to live, we had a very different idea of small. He grew up on .5 acres and I grew up on 80 acres. To him the 4 acres we have now are huge and to me they are small. He was looking for a 60 mile an hour lawn mower to get all the mowing done. I think he's going to let the cows do it this summer.
He has definitely seen a whole new side to nature out here. We use the cats to keep the field mice out of the house and the chipmunks out of the foundation. He restores cars, so he enjoys the space.
I like my space!
