Yes, this is true. I read a bit about the storm, here. Randman, from what I understand, the science of weather is always evolving and is yet not an absolute science. Whenever a ""model" is made, it is a prediction based on the typical storm. True. Here in Denver, there is often a local storm that appears as an upper level disturbance or some other unforseen occurrance. The forecasters say "Gosh, Folks...we didnt see this one coming!" My conclusion? Weather can STILL be unpredictable. Yes...this is job security if you are a meteorologist! Mark Twain had a lot to say about the weather. Funny guy, that humorist! Speaking of funny guys, I am somewhat bemused by the comments being winged from all sides in this discussion. Since it was you that started the thread, Randman, I feel as if I must address you first. Basically, those were reactions to some rather absurd comments by jar and others as a result of their sensing some sort of ulteriour motive against their belief systems.I pretty much started the thread just to hear what other people had to say, but had to deal with childish absurdity, as usual I might add, from jar. I mean what was that all about. It wasn't even something controversial I had posted. I merely stated something anyone following this would have known, that this storms broke the models.But jar insists: Basically, jar started totally unreasonable attacks, completely unprovoked, and for no reason. He even admitted later that had he not thought I had some ulterior motive, he would have agreed with what I am saying.It's not wise to be so contentious, but at the same time, I have very little respect for a man that argues agaist facts he knows are true just because he is afraid of the agenda of the other person.

So far since it's inception, the National Hurricane Center has published prdictions on the path of the hurricane extending out up top five days.If the hurricane did not follow the models that they use, then they would not have been able to publish those predictions.They did. See above.Sorry Charlie. These two storms are no more unusual than the 1954-1955 Hurricane Alice. They are a "That's interesting?" moment, certainly events we will learn from, but the rest of your stuff, that they will lead to fundamental revisions of meterology or your even more outlandish idea of them being human generated are tin-foil hat material.randman, we welcome your continued postings here at EvC. It's important for folk like you and buz and Faith and WILLOWTREE to continue so that the public is constantly reminded that there is a large segment of the population that are totally incapable or reasoned or rational thought.
