What is music?
I really admire musicians, whether it be heavy metal, easy listining, even bluegrass. Truely timeless music has so much soul in it, you cannot help but be moved.
Dr. Platte of Taylor University Fort Wayne Branch (Formerly Fort Wayne Bible College) described music as "An expression of something deeper within," a favorite of what his students called "Plattitudes." Musicians, True Musicians, put so much of themselves into their music that it's amazing they have anything left for themselves.
That ability is true for other artits as well.

Re: A Distinct Lack Thereof
There is nothing wrong with that, When I am driving, I find that music takes my mind of everything, I can think more profoundly with just silence. Music is a great distraction, but sometimes you just need to think.
