So Mike, did anything specific set off this deconversion? Because from the way it sounds, it seems like the more evidence you heard and understood, the more, bit by bit, you creeped towards having to acknowledge that evolution was factually correct. Then, for no particular reason, you suddenly decided that it wasn't.
Thanks for actually trying to find out my reasons behind my change rather than swearing at me etc... which would confuse me as my personal beliefs shouldn't offend anyone.
Well, I have been studying the degenerative picture in the bible, which shows how men used to live up to nearly a thousand years, and how the earth was "very good" back in Genesis. So in the present day - we see evidence that things are constantly degenerating, things get worse, not better.

things get worse, not better.
This seems to be the gist of your reasoning here... that the Bible says that things are getting worse, whereas evolution says that things are getting better. Correct me if I'm wrong.
But has no one on this forum explained to you that terms like "better" and "worse" are irrelevant to evolution? That evolution is about acclimating to an environment, not meeting some objective standard of being better?
I was under the impression that several people have told you this. Am I wrong about that?

So what though Dan - the man who waters the crop and the man who plants it - their purpose is the same. Even if it gets touted as science - no one was there - just how much can anyone tell about such things compared to God who was there when it happened?
Evolution shows that fitting into an environment means you get from cell to critter by chance. This isn't reality - reality is that a consciousness caused all design, complexity and systems. Why don't you consider this? You must see this truth also Dan.
It's a choice - evolution and the beeb, or the bible and God. Now if you look for creation evidence - you'll find it, but no evo has ever actually admitted anything might fit the creationist model, or looked for creation evidence because they worship the ToE.

A newbie hijacking
It looks like someone hijacked Mike T W's ID and is regurgitating the usual junk.
It can't be that someone would have been reading the various threads here for more than a year and still think that this is meaningful argument for his position.

So, in biblical days when the earth was "very good", women were the property of men, girls were sold into slavery, genocide was exalted, global floods caused worldwide death and destruction, etc, etc. By contrast, the world today is degenerate. Am I following you correctly?

Dog is my copilot.

I wasn't looking over your shoulder as you wrote your post, Mike. But I can still see what you typed. I know for a fact that I've gone over this "no one was there" business with you in the past.
Evolution shows that fitting into an environment means you get from cell to critter by chance.
At least five people have explained to you today that this isn't the case, Mike.
Perhaps the reason people are taking offense to your posts is that you are completely dismissing the hard work they've put into patient explanations with a hand-wave and a "nuh-uh".
no evo has ever actually admitted anything might fit the creationist model
What model would that be? Has someone finally come up with a testable, falsifiable hypothesis for Biblical creation?
That's big news, Mike. Start a topic explaining it to us!
