I originally posted a link to a news story I thought was funny. It turns out to be a hoax. Just to let you know, I didn't find the joke funny, though I wasn't sure why. I told it to my gf just to try it on on someone else and she laughed like crazy. Maybe it's better said then read.

Hope this isn't too old...One winter morning, George Bush opened his office curtains to find the words "BUSH IS AN IDIOT" written in the snow using a well known yellow substance.More upsetting than it's message was the fact that it was on White House grounds so close to where he works. Immediately the Secret Service opened an investigation.Before the day was out a grim looking agent approached Mr Bush and said "Mr President, I have bad news, and I have worse news."When Bush asked for the bad news the agent informed him that a variety of chemical analyses had positively identified the urine as Dick Cheney's.Flabbergasted, the president collapsed in a chair and asked "What's the worse news?"The agent replied, "It's in Laura's handwriting."

Sometimes real life can be better than fiction. Yahoo ran a Reuters article on the rags to riches to rags back to something less than riches story of Al Goldstein, the former porn king of New York.As disturbing as the article is in its very slanted storytelling, it still gave me a laugh as it championed the rise back to power of Al because he is now selling something other than porn... bagels. What a charmer. Would you buy a bagel from this man?The funny part to me was that in a freudian sense he hasn't really changed markets at all. He said it himself, from broads to bagels.

Hmmm, maybe I should make a short subject thread. The short answer is yes, but and the long answer is no, with an explanation.I played a game that used character portraits. I then used an image of myself to create some character portraits. This is one of the first experimental portraits. While there are some differences, it is pretty much me.Thus it is not supposed to be me, however in reality it is just a picture of me kind of dressed up and with some digital effects around me (and on me to look "painted" or "drawn" rather than photographed).Coragryps said it looked frightening. Do I hear a second on that?

Whew, that's at least close. It was meant to have a bit of a sinister air (more than Flynn) though not a homicidal maniac as most seem to be getting out of it.

Very close. It's Neverwinter Nights. The original image I was trying to create was one that would work for a Wizard, a Bard, or a Rogue-wizard class.As I told crash in another thread, my gf and I decided not to have me reveal what are the changes I made, so that will include the hair. Honestly, the larger image this is a portion of puts it in better perspective. It is a medieval shirt that is naturally opened and the chain was supposed to be an amulet. The combo does create an undesired effect however.I think I will be dropping this avatar. How does one go about removing an avatar? I can only seem to switch it to something else.

You are correct. While I honestly wouldn't care whether I was mistaken for a disco kind of guy in general, I wasn't expecting that particular image to generate that impression (or to frighten people).I actually thought it looked kind of cool. But then the fact that I would use the word "cool" probably shows how uncool I am. Or maybe that I am still playing RPGs would indicate the same thing.Ironically, I do have a picture of me dressed in 70's disco type duds, several chains and open collar. That will not be used as an avatar any time soon.

And of course turn about is fair play. During vietnam how many Americans "signed up" with Canada in order not to go? Does that mean America was against the war?It appears that the same thing is happening now with Canada granting safe haven to American deserters.On Michael Moore's site they now have a companion clip to the Coulter one where O'Reilly suggests the same thing will happen to Canada as happened to France, now that they are helping our deserters. The only problem is that he, like Coulter, was making up the impact we had on France.It's at the top of the first michael moore web page.
