Re: you are being watched, but....
Are you saying that people who believe they're being watched have become aware of God or some supernatural entity? It seems that the more common case would simply be mild paranoia. It takes nothing more than the knowledge of the abuse of binoculars and hidden camera's to provide this feeling to some degree, even in irrational scenarios.
However, if your point was not to follow the advice of the six foot bunny, then I'd have to agree with you. Fortunately, what Larni described is completely normal.

As if by magic.
As I was pondering the replies to my OP I was reading Weird Science in the Guardian. It had an article about home made kits that generate EM fields around ones head that can induce the feelings I mentioned.
It's in 17th June (sorry got no link).
Does this mean that when we feel the presence of gods we are merely reacting to an EM field or is the EM field an indicator of a god nosing around in your head?
Made me think.

Re: As if by magic.
That might be the way. Although we are not our thoughts, thoughts are part of the mechanism we inhabit. God stires the EM soup in our heads and it is the stirring which makes us aware of his observing us?
Hmmm.

Or the EM is what it uses to collect information on us, to check up whether we have been good boys and girls.
It could be SpyWare.
Btw I'm still pondering your last post in Gods and Demons....

You might not be far off the mark. For God to know our hearts he must have a way of observing them. Not all wear their hearts on their sleeves.
E=mC squared. God as just organized energy from which matter (organized energy)springs? EM = energy. God operating on own turf?
Btw I'm still pondering your last post in Gods and Demons....
Had forgotten. Look forward to a response if one forthcoming

On occasion I would find myself considering embarking or about to actually embark on a particular course of action and would get the sense that I was being observed. Not by security personnel or people or the like. But as if a personal entity was observing. I didn't get a notion that 'it' was telling me not to do it - the observation was passive.
But the fact of being observed thus would cause a bit of unease about what it was I was intending to do. And sometimes I aborted the mission.
3 guesses as to who it was.
Your conscience?

What does it feel like when the boogeyman is watching?
Or Santa Claus?

OK, I get it.
But the point is, the basis of all morality is the internalization of "what would others think of what I am doing if they saw me do it?"

It's From Another Dimension
According to the Bible, there's a whole realm of entities which have access to planet earth, all of which are capable of not only watching humans but also oppressing them, helping them, protecting them, harming them, et al, depending on which kind of entity it is, the good or the bad. God's Holy Spirit also enters into the bodies of those born of his spirit, i.e. receiving Christ as lord and savior. It also teaches that the evil enities can enter into and posess humans.
These entities are all of a dimension of existence which natural science has yet to explain or observe. Only the effects of these entities can be felt and experienced by humans affected by them.
So yes, humans do have a natural ingrained awareness of accountability and/or being watched. We often refer to it conscience. Con-science, i.e. against science, i.e. beyond the realm and understanding of the human mind's scientific knowledge.

No surprise in my heartily disagreeing with you. Its Larni you should be presenting your findings to - not me. You know (oops) I don't agree with you and there is little point in reprising this well-flogged dead horse here.

That's hilarious, Buz. I hope it was intended as a joke.
Here is a link for those interested in the real etymology of "conscience."

Look it up. Con= against, i.e. literally, conscience = against science.
