Crash I noticed in your profile that your location was changed to Columbia, MO, USA. I think this is different from the last time I looked at your profile. Were you not posting from Michigan? Hope you enjoy your new place of resident. No I stand corrected, it was Prior Lake, MN USA This message has been edited by Peal, 10-08-2004 02:23 PM This message has been edited by Peal, 10-08-2004 02:33 PM

Indeed, I'm now a resident of the Show-Me state, and thank you very much for noticing. My wife entered the entomology graduate program at Mizzou, and I entered the sandwich delivery field.

JerkFrog just couldn't stand living in same state as MeatheadMoose. Actually, I had hoped to move in next to you and play my Kid Rock tapes all night long, but your homeowners association wouldn't stand for two biology weirdos on the same block. Sorry, moose.

My wife was at Stephens in days of yore, and liked Columbia pretty well. Pretty part of the country, regardless of how much human change there's been since then.

For what? What really brought it home for me was when I drove out of KC on I-70 and I was presented with a billboard that advertised the removal of human remains from homocide and suicide scenes, as though enough motorists would find themselves in that precise position to merit advertising to them.

Half way between K.C. and St. Louis
My parents both came from Columbia, Mo. I remember driving back there with them (riding along, actually ) and I remember that the drive from Denver took 12 hours at 80+ m.p.h. And my Sis went to Stephens College and I remember that the mileage to St.Louis was the same as the mileage from Kansas City. (Whew!) Now that I got all of that out, the point of my post is this: I know Columbia! Even though I'll never rack up 6207 posts no matter how hard I try, I DO know Columbia! Hey Crashfrog, do you think that Ned or Jar will ever catch you? They are the only ones with a chance!

AWESOME!
Crash, you have to take a pic of that sign and post it! I will print it out and hang it on my wall, or somewhere equally hilarious! Brad

Crash, you have to take a pic of that sign and post it! If ever a mischance of fate lands me in that harrowing city, then, as I flee its borders with the greatest degree of expediency, I will endeavor to do so.

Hey, I think I saw one of those ads in Chicago. What's the company called? I spent a couple of days in Columbia with my (ex)girlfriend, about 2 years ago. We rolled out there for a weekend, back when I lived near Saint Louis. Seemed like a pretty cool town, though it was kinda deserted that weekend. I hope you're finding it to your liking.

I hope you're finding it to your liking. I love it. What a great town. Lots of atmosphere downtown but I can still run out to a Best Buy for video games.
