Let's face it...

I have been desparately seeking Peter Ustinov's "The Old Man and Mr. Smith" but it is out of print. I have read the book in my native language (Greek). In it, there is a quotation that I wish to include in a book I am writing in English. I need the exact quotation, not just a translation from Greek back to English. I have seen that you have read the book I am looking for. Could you possibly help me by finding the quotation for me?
