Besides, sex crimes have been around for thousands of years before porn came into existence, speaking as someone who is not a big fan of the porn industry.

What people *ahem Faith* needs to understand is that in order to have true freedom of speech and expression everyone must be protected not just the people that agree with your ideology. I absolutely don't like christianity and a lot of christians out there. Do you see me lobbying for a ban or persecution of christians? Hell, no.

No, this is not true. You are accusing those who disagree with you of supporting the opposite side. The problem is things are not always white and black.

For example, everyone who has ever had a kid knows that right around the ages of 2-6 they often don't want to eat that much. Some people say that the best way to approach this is to force feed their children, literally shoving food down their throats. I happen to disagree with that (I do not have any of my own but I have been babysitting for many years, sometimes up to 4 little buggers at a time). I believe that the best way to approach it is to keep encouraging them to eat. Present food whenever possible and try to make it fun for them. Do anything other than making eating a nightmare for them.

Going back to porn, this thread is about the freedom of speech and expression. It really sounds like you are accusing the rest of us of supporting force prostitution, rape, and other unpleasant sex acts. You are misrepresenting our arguments.

By the way, do you believe in force-feeding your children when they don't want to eat or do you believe in starving them to death?

I'd REALLY appreciate a little politeness. Using arguments that are nothing but ad hominem attacks on me are not polite. Refusing to address the actual topic by dodging into discussions about why you don't like porn is not polite. Misrepresentating historical facts is not polite.
Actually, Faith has a point there. While it is quite clear that she is not capable of not using logical fallacies in a debate, the rest of us are quite capable of not using words to directly demean someone else, especially words that they taught us not to use on others all the way back in grade school.

Ok, not that I try to find straight porn... I find them absolutely horrendous to look at (how the hell can you people look at them without a sense of vomit coming up your esophagus?)... but you need to press on the little "preference" link on the right of the search input area and disable the filter.
