The old science that the original statements of AIG were based on is superceded. It is old! It is not available to you as an excuse any more. It is gone! You are wrong! Done with.
And if all that isn't enough what about 100's of other lines of evidence that you have to deal with?
If you're a young earther then please drop in on some of the date and dating threads. Good luck!

The rainbow was produced by God, but it was the atmosphere he changed to do it, not that he couldn't have done it anyhow, but it was a result of the postflood atmospheric conditions that it cam about. Thus it is a natural phenomenon which could not have occured under preflood contitions.
Sorry for the delay in responding; christmas holidays and all that.
You're telling me rain and sun never occured at the same time? In all the years before the flood, not once? How can this possibly be?

They're referring to the ludicrous vapor-canopy theory, which holds that a sizable portion of the waters of the flood were suspended in the clouds above. Of course, they ignore that for this to occur, Earth would have to be one giant pressure cooker, because vapor suspended in the atmosphere gets added to atmospheric pressure. They also have some bizarre fantasies about what this would do to longevity that defy every single thing known to zoology. They might as well just attribute the longevity to pixie dust while they're at it, it takes about an equal amount of speculation.

So there's no sun-light for what 1,500-2,000 years and everything grows just fine? Er....
