I admired her for the way she dealt with her families behaviour and squabbles. I personably would hate the life she led. I heard someone once call it "living in splendid isolation". I'm not much of a monarchist but even living in Canada I felt of her as an institution that would just always be there.
I remember when I was very young standing at the side of the street in Calgary waving my flag enthusiastically as she, still as Princess Elizabeth, drove by and smiled and as I recall it even waved back,
