Re: Gary Gygax dead at 69
I didn't realize he lived so close, or I might have tried to visit him all these years. I wonder if he made a good DM?

I will spend the rest of the day playing D&D in honour of the guy who inarguably influenced my life in a massive way. Not kidding.

AbE: I can't remember if I started playing in 79 or 80, but I got an award certificate from my school for helping start a club in 81.

Re: Daisy, daisy
I can't believe this! I started watching a bunch of interviews with him yesterday (literally yesterday), and was wondering about writing him. I was motivated by his age and how I had missed the chance with Sagan and Gould (that last one really upset me).

In one of the interviews he said of all the things he wanted to be remembered for it was being a writer. My guess is that will be somewhat hard to forget.
