Author | Topic: Lots of viagra spam mail lately | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||

I regularly check out the spam emails just to see what's in store. I've noticed that lately most of the spam emails have been about viagra. Has anyone else notice this trend? Even the spam threads on this forum were about viagra.
Any guess as to why the sudden surge in viagra spam? I'm trying to see things your way, but I can't put my head that far up my ass.

The scientist in me wants to erect a theory only after examining firm evidence of the phenomenon; unfortunately he's busy doing something else right now and the sociology of email spam is too hard a subject for me to tackle.

It's the season for that kind of thing... Spring, summer, everyone is out readying themselves for vacations and stuff... Now is the time to give everyone e-mails about penis stuff because at this point the most people might respond to them because they have plans to go places where they might be in use of some chemical help for their wiener.
Or something like that

Reminds me of one of my favorite cartoons from the New Yorker.
A guy is sitting at his computer typing. The caption reads: "Dear Sir: I thank you for your concern, but I am quite satisfied with the size of my penis." Those of you who don't know very well, I'm anti-materialism (in the economic sense). Another name for someone like me is "cheap bastard". I hate buying crap I don't need. I am absolutely against our current social dependency on shopping. I've been saying for years that the dependency on materialism and shopping needs that our culture has evolved into have made people heartless. That said, I TOLD YOU SO!

are erectile problems an indication that evolution is working to improve the species?
or could it be that evolution is taking a backward step?? there are many couples who need ivf to conceive these days, men are becoming impotent, sterility issues... how does evolutionary science explain this phenomenon???

I don't see how this is a problem for evolution. If these individuals can't reproduce, there gense will simply dissapear from the species. It is a scientific fact, old men need viagra because they have to have sex with old ladies. When you are young the chics are still hot.
I can cite peer-reviewed papers supporting this theory. Oni "All great truths begin as blasphemies" "I smoke pot. If this bothers anyone, I suggest you look around at the world in which we live and shut your mouth."--Bill Hicks "I never knew there was another option other than to question everything"--Noam Chomsky

quote: This question betrays a deep misunderstanding of evolution. It suggests that you think evolution has some direction. It doesn't. Evolution is about adaptation to the environment. Sometimes the environment tends to support change of one type, such as for more fur. Sometimes it supports change of the opposite type, such as for less fur. But there is no such thing as a "backward step."
