Nope. But then neither does MicroSoft. They announced over a year ago that they were dropping support for Outlook Express. No more security updates, no new versions.
You can still use Outlook Express and Firefox will inteface with most any mail program you use including those from M$.

For whatever it's worth, this is the Help > About Mozilla information of the previous version I was using (and might sometimes continue using).
Mozilla 1.6
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040113
I also had used an earlier version.
Anyone else using or having previously used earlier than Firefox Mozilla?
And why is Rrhain apparently still using IE?

I've recently switched to Firefox, but I think I may shortly revert to IE.
My current number one annoyance with Firefox is there seems to be no way of turning animations off which means I can't stop RAZD's bloody annoying avatar moving. Bugs in the text selection code, and the less-than-IE-quality edit boxes are also up there.
Anyone know how (or if) I can turn off animations in Firefox?

I've never worried about stopping gif animations or anigifs, but if you hit ESC it'll stop the anigifs from moving.

Re: or spyware
I already had the current version of Ad-Aware, but I downloaded and installed SpywareBlaster also.
But SpywareBlaster will not run. I get the following message:
Cannot find import; DLL may be missing, corrupt, or wrong version
File "MSVBVM60.DLL", error 1157"
Anyone have any hints on fixing the above problem?

Re: or spyware
It sounds like you're missing a Visual Basic library.
A Search for the DLL
edit: fixed linkage

Hey, thanks for that tip. I never knew that. Animated gif don't usually bother me, but it's still a handy thing to know.

If you type about:config in the address bar it will take you to a registry like list of settings. Scroll down a bit and you'll see image.animation_mode. Just double-click this and type none to stop those pesky gifs.
Yes, I realise this is an extremely geeky way to change settings, but it's still only a beta release...
Cheers.

Firefox lock ups
Firefox sometimes locks up on me when I do downloads. My prominent example is when I try to download my alltopic database:
http://www.lakenet.com/~mnmoose/alltopic10-24-04.XLS
(Note: This link will go bad in the next few days, as the 10-31-04 is put online)
Part of the problem seems to be that Firefox tries to access my A drive (floppy) for no apparent reason.
I think I've also had lock ups in other sitauations.
Still using the older version of Mozilla sometimes. Sometimes at same time as Firefox, sometimes not. Do have the cited lock up problem even if older version is not active at the time. Is the problem because of my having two Mozillas on my computer?

Firefox
I am a devout Anti-M$ person.
I only use Windows as a development platform (when necissary) and as a game OS. Other than that, my other two computers are a Macintosh G4 dual 800Mhz running OSX Panther (Best operating system in the world), and a Fedora Core 2 Box.
I run Firefox on all these computers and have been since the initial alpha releases
I think it is simply the most fantastic creation of all time. A further testament to the power of OpenSource and the lack of inovation on M$s side.
As i have allways said, they don't make great products, but they have world class marketing. (kinda like George Bush )

Re: Firefox lock ups
Go into the config mode (about:config). In the filter type the word 'down'.
Check the settings and see if the default directory might be set to A: or if the A drive is listed.
Next filter for 'sav' and see if you have set things to automatically save to disk without asking.
