It seems to me that too much time and effort is being spent on ridicule of positions and not enough on explanations. If a position has flaws then it has flaws for specific reasons, not because it seems silly.

Please focus on the topic, address the details in people's messages, and avoid ridicule.

Also, since this is a science thread, both sides should be offering only scientific arguments. Arguments that require supernatural beings should be reserved for the religious threads.
