Virginia Senate Race
Here in Virginia, there will be a recount...and the actual result from the recoiunt won't be official until November 27. Right now Webb (D) has about a 7,000 vote lead out of some 2 million votes cast.
In Virginia, the loser can ask for a recount if the difference is less than 0.5% in the first vote. Last time there was a recount, in te last attorney genral race, a grand total of 27 votes were changed. So a recount should still favor Webb.
I heard on NPR that Democratic senators like Chuck Schumer were asking Bush to start the bi-partisonship by asking George Allen (R) to concede. But I don't think that will happen.
On the other hand...Virginia did vote in a state constitutional amendment banning gay marriage by nearly 60%. It has a statute in it to also deny legal status to unions that approximate marriage.

I mean, this is America. Everybody loves seeing lesbians go at it, as long as they are both hot and not in a monogamous, legally sanctioned relationship.
