In general we are seeing the expected willfull ignorance of the True Believers. IMHO this is yet another indication of why no one who holds a Young Earth belief should ever be allowed to hold a position of authority in government.

Maybe there was a DoS attack; maybe the site was temporarily down; maybe a router was down. I was able to access it later.
At the top of his post he put a message that read something along the lines of
"This article was directly linked by a number of websites which caused too much load. The page was dynamic which was adding to the strain, I have now made the page static to reduce load. I have also disabled comments. I will check back in a few horus [amusing sic]"
They were the victim of the worst kind of DoS:

Mr. Deutsch has left the building.
Apparently the political fallout from his actions has forced him to resign.
HOUSTON, Texas (AP) -- A NASA political appointee who worked in the space agency's public relations department submitted his resignation after reportedly restricting access to a noted NASA climate scientist.
NASA spokesman Dean Acosta confirmed Wednesday that George C. Deutsch had resigned late Tuesday, but would say little more. Deutsch, 24, was appointed in February 2005.
