At Long Last: The Fourth Song
Well, this is an interesting one. It's been bouncing around in my head for about two months and finally got it recorded.
I'm a bass player right? Then what the hell am I doing on a piano? Oh well.
Ah, one other thing. My mic should probably have been placed further away from the piano. As it is, I'm not willing (at this point) to re-record it. Kind of lucky to get it as right as I did.
Enjoy.
p.s. video needs to be approved by youtube first, so this will most likely be up by tonight.
p.p.s. well, that is, I believe, the fatest a video has ever been approved for me by youtube. It's up!?

For what it's worth... In my opinion, it's good!
My mother was a music major and I grew up with classical piano as an infant and toddler. I like everything from metal to gospel, but I don't enjoy the lyrics equally anymore .
Did you compose it yourself or is it your own rendition of another piece?
Not trying to pretend we are friends kuresu. And only asking out of genuine curiosity.
If you composed that yourself, you have a gift to work with.

Re: At Long Last: The Fourth Song
What I consider the "main chord progression" is pretty common--Am, G, F. Or put that chord movement in to any other key you want--in a major key, it would be 6, 5, 4. In a minor key it would be 1, 7, 6. I consider the song to be in C major because that's the basic bass note. Granted, it could also be A minor, since that's the chord the song ends with. Listen to the last half of stairway to heaven for an example (from the solo to the end).
As to the rest, I'm pretty positive it's not my rendition of another piece. No doubt it's influenced (especially with having separate movements, influenced by all the music I played in the high school band), but where they're coming from, good question.
And thanks.
p.s. I don't like metal lyrics, period. Or metal music.
