If cheating is an issue then bridge might be the better game. I don't think anyone's yet invented a really good computerized bidding system. The ones that do exist (at least that I've seen) tend to use the simple Goren bidding standards, but most tournament players nowadays use the yellow-card system which uses many, many more conventional bids (bids that mean something quite different than the calls used to make them would naturally suggest).
There are some programs that, as I understand but don't know first-hand, are quite good at suggesting opening leads after a competitive auction, but the effect of using one to cheat would be negligible on a player's overall performance.
Very few people seem to play bridge these days, but I like it.

Yeah, I like it more than chess, too. I had an uncle who loved chess and he taught me to play as a kid, but I always liked card games a lot more. I've played spades and hearts since I was a teen, so the mechanics of bridge weren't too difficult to learn. But the auction phase of the game really takes a lot of time to understand, let alone master. I'm still not very good, but I have improved somewhat at no-trump bidding.
Even as hard as it is, though, bridge is more fun to play than any other card or board game I know of. I love it!
