Idon't care if a candidate is Penticostal, Mormon, Catholic, Presbyterian, Baptist, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, deist, agnostic, atheist or anything else as long as he uses the good judgement toward an idea and not be pro or con solely on religious beliefs.
I wish one could do that. However, some ideas are so dumb that holding them betrays a lack of intelligence, or at least an alarmingly tenuous grasp of reality.
Perhaps it might depend on the office sought. It would be seriously weird to have a YEC in charge of a nation's science programs, for example, but a dog catcher could have any number of crazy notions and still do a good job.
