SLP's Posting Privileges Restored
This thread contains a record of who is suspended and who is banned. You can only get suspended or banned for violations of the Forum Guidelines and for failure to follow administrator or moderator requests, and usually only after several warnings. Reinstatement only requires sending an email request to Admin. Please, no posts by non-administrators to this thread. Comments and feedback can be made in threads in the Suggestions forum. The plan is that the last message in this thread will always contain the latest information. Posting privileges suspended:

Ken was relentlessly critical of EvC Forum moderation during his brief return here, and the other inhabitants of [forum=-28] have also been critical. We moderators are not the ruthless, unfeeling monsters some make us out to be, and we don't feel good about being the object of so much criticism. But the bottom line is that EvC Forum is not a playground for flakes and cranks. Participants in discussions are expected to follow the Forum Guidelines and follow moderator requests. To those out there considering joining EvC Forum who for whatever reason are incapable of carrying on a rational discussion based upon evidence and reasoned argument, don't waste your time. In particular, if you've had trouble at other boards don't even think of joining here, because you'll just end up in [forum=-28]. Kendemyer correctly noted that participation in the science forums is down. This is a price EvC Forum consciously decided to pay when making the decision to tolerate less nonsensical discussion.

Syamsu Permanently Suspended
Not for anything egregious, but see Topic Proposal Issues starting at Message 74. I'm not going to critisize someone who can no longer respond, but those who have participated in discussions with Syamsu can probably figure out why the suspension is permanent.

Crashfrog Suspended One Day
While Crash could well argue that an airtight case hasn't been made, given the number of members it isn't practical for moderators to do this for each set of violations, and we won't. Crash is arguing with moderators rather than working constructively with them to figure out what they want, and then giving it to them. The success rate of coaching members is so low that I now discourage moderators from attempting it. As I said in The EvC Way, members either get it or they don't. See Message 91 and work back.
